Frequently asked questions

How is a "render" defined for billing?

A render is only billable when the request returns HTTP 200 and misses the edge cache, on a pay-as-you-go key. Errors (4xx/5xx) and cache hits are never billed — that includes retries and repeated fetches of the same signed URL.

What happens after my 500 free renders?

You move to pay-as-you-go at $0.003/render with no monthly minimum. There is no hard cutoff — renders keep working and billing follows usage.

Do screenshots cost the same as OG images?

Screenshot capture is not live yet (coming soon, gated on a browser-rendering rollout). The sub-100ms latency claim applies to OG image renders only — screenshots involve a headless browser and take 1-4 seconds.

Do you charge for cached renders served by Cloudflare’s edge?

No. Cache hits return the same bytes without touching the render pipeline and are never billed, regardless of how many times a signed URL is fetched.

Is there a free tier?

Yes — 500 renders per month, forever, no credit card required. It resets monthly and applies before any pay-as-you-go billing kicks in.

How current are the competitor prices on this page?

Every competitor price shown was read from the vendor's own public pricing page in July 2026. We don't estimate or extrapolate competitor numbers.
